Photo Blogging Challenge – Baseball

june2016

The theme for the June photo blogging challenge was “Baseball”.

If you know me in real life, you know for sure, but if you’re a regular blog reader, you may have also guessed I’m obsessed with the Boston Red Sox.

I lived a dream when I got to play baseball at Fenway Park last year.

The college I attended is only a 5 minute walk from Fenway Park. My 10 year college reunion was this June, and one of the activities was attending a Red Sox game.

We had a row of adorable young fans seated in front of us.

Painting

When you get known as a Red Sox fan, people give you stuff.

This painting was made by my sister-in-law Jackie, and is on display in my living room.

Gnome

I forget who gave me this gnome, but it’s on display on a book shelf filled with wedding thank you cards.

Sometimes, a Red Sox hat can win over a crowd. This New York resident tried it at the Public Relations Society of America Northeast Conference in Boston.

Finally, a bonus photo of me with a Red Sox stained glass (I bought this myself) also on display in my condo living room.

My dress is from Gwynnie Bee.

Hope you enjoyed my photos!

This monthly photo blogging challenge is facilitated by PJ of the Northeast Bloggers Network.

Thanks for inspiring me to take more photos!

Gwynnie Bee – Still Loving the Clothes

Gwynnie Bee: Clothing Rental Subscription Box. Sizes 10-32. 30 Day free Trial.

It’s been a few months since I posted about Gwynnie Bee and I am still loving the clothes I get sent each week!

You may remember from a previous post, I am an affiliate for the awesome clothing rental company Gwynnie Bee.

They fit sizes 10-32.

For a flat fee, they send you plus size clothing to rent. If you love it, you can keep it, for a low additional charge.

You pick every item that’s added to your virtual closet, and the size for each item. (Which is great! Ladies know there’s no such thing as universal sizing in women’s clothes.) There are size charts for each item recommending which size to choose based on body measurements.

For me, this nearly guarantees that I’ll like the dresses & tops I’m mailed. (I’ve only had 1 item that the fit was off for.)

Let me know if you have any questions about Gwynnie Bee. I love them and would be happy to talk through their process for you.

The above are only a small selection of the 50 clothing items I’ve been sent so far in my 3 months of Gwynnie Bee membership. I started my 1st month on the 3 items per box plan, but have upped it to a 5 items per box plan for the last 2 months.

Once you’re done with an item, you mail it back in a postage paid bag provided by Gwynnie Bee. You’ll get a new item within about 4 days of mailing an item back.

I feel fashionable every day I’m wearing a Gwynnie Bee item & it’s made my work wardrobe pretty much hassle free!

I pair the tops with jeans on weekends.

As a plus sized woman, I’m used to wearing items that fit but aren’t my style. To be able to stay stylish and professional with Gwynnie Bee is a world altering shift for the better for me! I would sing their praises as a happy customer, even if I wasn’t an affiliate.

And I do often! Even in supposedly unfriendly Boston, I get stopped by other women on the subway to ask about my beautiful Gwynnie Bee dresses. I tell them the website without getting any affiliate credit.

I also love that I pick out the clothes and get multiple items throughout the month, as opposed to 1 box of items curated by someone else like other boxed clothing services.

The clothing rental aspect of Gwynnie Bee works for me! It makes me look like I have enough clothes in my closet to be a model and I can send the items back when I want something new.

Gwynnie Bee – 2nd shippment

You may remember from a previous post, I have become an affiliate for the awesome clothing rental company Gwynnie Bee. They fit sizes 10-32.

For a flat fee, they send you plus size clothing to rent. If you love it, you can keep it, for a low additional charge.

Since I’ve been wearing Gwynnie Bee clothes this month & blogging about them, a bunch of friends have asked what makes them different than other services that mail boxes of clothes.

A difference that I didn’t mention in my last post is you get multiple boxes of clothing throughout the month, not just one box. New items of clothing ship out to you as soon as you click that you’ve returned an item on the Gwynnie Bee website. (Returns are wicked easy, using the shipping bag provided, and the US mail.)

Here are the items I got in my 2nd box:

SPRUCE & SAGE

Windmill Print Fit & Flare Dress

GBsnip

ISABEL + ALICE

Monochrome Spotted Peplum Top

100_3641

NYDJ

3/4 Sleeve Top In Secret Garden

Another thing I love about Gwynnie Bee is people comment on how well the clothes fit me in addition to how great the clothing looks! This is because I pick the size for each item of clothing that will be sent to me, and they have size charts for each item.

I met the stylish staff of Gwynnie Bee at Blogger Bash NYC.

I was very impressed by the quality and style of the clothing.

News flash fashion designers, plus sized women like to look stylish too!

I’ve been having fun letting Gwynnie Bee spice up my work wardrobe.

Here are some of the items I was sent in my 1st box:

100_3612

This beautiful dress got lots of complements at a MassBio program I attended last week

100_3614

I loved that this blouse went from office wear to night out so easily

I wore this wrap dress to a dinner in the North End of Boston

with other Blog & Tweet Boston bloggers

(The lacy insert is something I added.)

I’ve tried other clothing services that ship you a box of clothes, without success.

A few things make Gwynnie Bee different:

1) They’re specifically designed for plus sized women so the clothes actually fit well!

2) You get to select items from the Gwynnie Bee catalog to be in your virtual closet. Those are the items you will be shipped.

3) Since you’re self selecting, you can read sizing charts for every item to pick the size that will work best for you

4) You can review the clothing after you’ve worn it, so other women can see what others thought of the fit & select their size accordingly

5) Once you mail the clothes back, you’ll be shipped more items from your virtual closet. There is no set number of clothes you can receive each month, so you can wear items more than once, or ship them back right away and get new clothes sent over.

I hope you’ll love Gwynnie Bee as much as I do.
