The theme for January 2019 Photo Blogging Challenge was books. I was overjoyed at this theme because I make sure reading is part of everyday life for my 1 year old daughter.
I have way too many photos to choose from, so I tried to get it down to the most interesting.
Winnie-the-Pooh Exploring a Classic exhibit came to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Elise toured the exhibit with Mom, Dad, Grandma, and Godmom/Auntie Jen.
The Thomas Crane Library in Quincy has a kids winter reading challenge – in bingo card form. Elise is entered in the 0-7 group after reading books for all 25 squares. The grand prize is a build a bear experience – so wish her luck.
Mother Goose came to the Thomas Crane Library for storytime this month and it surprised Elise when she called her by her name.
(The woman playing Mother Goose is a children’s librarian that knows Elise through other storytimes.)
Reading with Nanie Donna (Grandma) is the best!
Excuse me Miss Anne – I’d like to see the book a bit closer please. Mind if I crawl over?
From storytime at the Scituate Library
Bonus: If you think all you’ll find at a library is books, you’re wrong!
Elise LOVES the fish tank in the Children’s Room at Milton Library
Weymouth Library has the “PAWS to read” program that brings therapy dogs to the library for kids to read to. This poodle mix, Spencer, was awesome with my daughter petting her.
Hope you enjoyed my photos! Keep on reading. 🙂
