Photo Blogging Challenge – Tis The Season

I am looking forward to a new year starting this evening. 2016 was filled with health issues and uncertainty for me. I got laid off in January and have been temping. I’m hoping I land a full time permanent job in fundraising soon.

The theme for the December photo blogging challenge was “’Tis the Season.

Hope you enjoy my photos!

Santa visited my 3 year old cousin on Christmas Eve!

The city of Quincy loves Christmas – the building is our old city hall

This musician dressed as an elf with her puppet sidekick made my commute very enjoyable!

The Prudential Center in Boston is very festive – with the wreath above and ornament outside

Finally, here’s a shot of Boston in early December

The joke in MA is “if you don’t like the weather, wait a minute”.

This monthly photo blogging challenge is facilitated by PJ of the Northeast Bloggers Network.

Thanks for inspiring me to take more photos!

  1. Aaaww, thank you for bringing some Boston Christmas spirit across the ocean! The Pru!!! We had dinner at “Legal Seafood” there one, it was so delicious.
Your city hall’s got an impressive Christmas Tree!
    Here’s to a healthy 2017 that’ll bring a rewarding job for you!

    • Legal Seafood is gone from the Pru. Eataly took over the food court in the Pru and 4 other floors. Legal was right across from them, so they left that mall.

I tried to eat lunch at Eataly with my Mom & Grandmother last week – but it was a 1.5 hour wait, so we walked to Capital Grill instead.

Thanks for the 2017 well wishes!

  2. Love all your shots but especially the ones of Boston as it brought back lovely memories of a all too brief visit in 1991. Gorgeous city.

The wreath hanging in the prudential centre is stunning – love the big decorations you get around cities. Good luck with your job hunting and best wishes for a wonderful 2017.

  3. We have the same weather saying here in Calgary! But it hasn’t been true this winter. We endured several weeks of -20C (about -5F) before it finally warmed up, but it’s been above freezing for a week now, so Happy New Year to us! Happy New Year to you, too! I hope you land a great job and that your health problems got left behind in 2016. Your holiday photos are great. I especially like how the red newspaper box and green trash can reinforce the holiday theme in the photo of the musical elf. And I always enjoy a good holiday decoration photo. Well done!
