I took a month off from the photo blogging challenge, but I’m back! The theme for September was “happy”.
I ended up interpreting that as “what makes me happy”.
Labor Day Weekend I went on a long weekend trip to Maine and New Hampshire with my In-laws
In this photo my brother-in-law, husband, and 2 sister-in-laws walk ahead of me on a wooded path at a National Park
My husband & I are very lucky that we see both sides of our family often, nearly every weekend.
Family is very important to our happiness!
On the same trip we hiked up a mountain and found this on the way back
Here’s a photo from Fenway Park that I took at a Red Sox game in early September
David Ortiz hit his 498th home run that night, but then the darn Blue Jays walked him whenever he came to bat!
I’m spoiled by all the public art we have in MA.
This is on the Rose Kennedy Greenway in Boston. The building is painted by a different artist twice a year.
I walked in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk to benefit Dana-Farber Cancer Institute on Sunday.
The volunteers were great! Above, this rest stop volunteer juggles apples and encourages us to take one.
Hope you enjoyed my photos this month! I’m looking forward to seeing what others came up with.
This monthly photo blogging challenge is facilitated by PJ of the Northeast Bloggers Network.
Thanks for inspiring me to take more photos!
Love this interpretation of the challenge! I loved my trip to Fenway Park and I too love spending time with my family…can’t get enough of it!
I love all of your happy moments and photos. It would be fun to do this challenge. It’s great that you see the families often.

Good set of photos for the month and welcome back to the challenge! I like the juggling photo — good capture!
He was a good pitchman for the apples too! I laughed and said, “I don’t feel like an apple but can I take a picture of your juggling?”
The volunteers at the Jimmy Fund Walk are pretty awesome!
Thanks PJ!
I love all your happy pictures. So much public art must be fun! Especially as it keeps changing during the year 🙂
Thanks! I’m not a fan of the particular painting this month, but I know it will change soon enough. 😉
We see our family nearly every weekend as well! It is nice living close to them. I love seeing people embrace the “happies” in life!
Nice interpretation of the theme for this month. 🙂
Love all your pictures! I think my favorite is the rock! It is so great they were able to make fun art without hurting anything natural. The baseball one is really cool too… thank you for sharing all of these!
I love all your photo’s. They sure do say HAPPY! Great interpretation.
I agree…family is so important to happiness! We spend a lot of time with ours and I couldn’t imagine it being any different.
Glad to have you back after last month’s break. You got photos of some very special memories this past month. And I can’t help but note that I took some photos of a juggler this month too (but not for this challenge). I’ve been thinking I should try juggling – I hear scarves are the easiest to start with.
I have a friend that juggles as a hobby and she loves it.
I agree that family is a huge part of happiness!
I love doing photo challenges & I think I really love them because although it’s alot to remember every day, it’s cool to look back over each day & remember the best thing from it

Very nice assortment of photos! I think you covered a lot of areas that are cause to make a person happy. I love nature and find it’s necessary to keep my sanity (and happiness!).
All such great photos! I’ve always wanted to go to Fenway park so that one is truly awesome to me! they are all happy photos!
I’m a huge Red Sox fan & I’ve actually lived the dream of playing baseball at Fenway! https://gettingfitinma.wordpress.com/2015/05/21/red-sox-girls-of-summer/
This is such a great idea! I have so many photos from each month and I struggle to write about every experience. I should try doing a short round up like this! Thanks for sharing!

I love your interpretation of happy. Sometimes we just really need to look at the many small blessings of our life. You photos capture those perfectly!
I love all of your photos! Fenway looks amazing!
Your photos show snippets from your life like a story. I like this. The rock you found on your hike with a face looks like a piece of Art.
I liked the rock face because it was an unexpected reward for climbing the mountain and I assumed drawn by a previous hiker to make people smile.
I love hiking too! It’s been way too long since I’ve gotten the opportunity to enjoy it.
Ahh…I think my soul is meant to be in New England. Luckily, I keep getting closer 😉
I hear you on family being pertinent to your happiness. My husband, children and I have been far from our families for over three years now. It doesn’t get easier!
thanks for sharing your photos and adventure. even though im not a red sox fan, i think a game at fenway would be incredible.
great theme and I love your photo’s
I love this idea of a monthly blogging photo challenge! It’s looks like you had a great time in September!
